Oscar is both an advocate for policy and an advocate for Latinos to be involved in the policy making process. Past work Oscar has done includes legislation on increased access to Medi-Cal, more environmental protections, supporting the construction of broadband infrastructure, and securing funds to support the work of Promotoras in California. Oscar holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Bakersfield, a master’s degree in sports and exercise psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and master’s in public administration from the University of Southern California. In his free time, Oscar enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading a good book, and playing soccer.
