The 530 Food Rescue Coalition (530 FRC) is an innovative food recovery project in Butte County working to save perfectly good food from going to waste. Using a custom-built app, we mobilize volunteers to transport food donations from food retailers to non-profits. The 530 FRC aims to fill gaps in the existing food recovery system.

In December 2023, a frequent customer, Connie, used all her stars at the Paradise Starbucks to purchase 31 pounds of coffee. That purchase was included in the weekly rescue headed to Paradise Stronger. This particular rescue was completed by California Vocations Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing residential and vocational support to developmentally disabled adults. Paradise Stronger was very grateful for this act of kindness.
